Zane Smith

Zane Smith, PT, MPT, OCS

Owner

Zane is a native of the northwest and grew up in east Portland. He graduated from Eastern Washington University in 2003 with a Masters in Physical Therapy. He also has a BS in Human Biology. Zane believes that regardless of where the patient receives PT it must be comprehensive; encompassing not only tools to treat inflammation and pain, soft tissue dysfunction, muscle imbalances and specific weakness as well as overall functional limitations, but also enhancing the patients ability to treat themselves and continue to thrive on an independent basis. In addition to treating orthopedic conditions his other professional interests include the management of chronic headaches to include migraines as well as other chronic pain conditions. When not in the clinic Zane loves to spend time with his wife Leslie and their two children Zoe and Gage, at home in Washington. They enjoy snow skiing, fishing, camping and other outdoor activities. Zane and Leslie are heavily involved in their community and promoting a healthy lifestyle.

Melissa Lovell

Melissa, PTA

Physical Therapist Assistant

Melissa has been working as a PTA since 2006. She went to school at Whatcom Community College in Bellingham, WA graduating with honors and slowly migrated down to the Vancouver area. She has been with Timberline PT since 2011. She has spent most of my career working in the outpatient setting, working with people of all ages and all levels of activity or function.

Her favorite hobbies are working out, gardening, hiking, kayaking, and pretty much anything outdoors, and of course spending time with my family and friends. She considers herself very active playing sports all through high school and then turning her passion for fitness into competing on the national stage as a physique competitor. She firmly believe that the key to a happy healthy life is to stay active no matter what it is you enjoy.
